Wall painting, colour photograph, dimensions variable (photograph 10 x 10 cm.)

The title of this intervention designates an exact frame from Jean Luc Godard’s La Chinoise. In this 1967 film, and without being fully conscious of it, Godard reflects a historical moment prior to May 1968 events, resorting to cut and interruption effects to build up a narrative that places viewers in a groundbreaking Brechtian setting. 00:03:50 stops the gaze on one of the graffiti distributed by Godard around the apartment occupied by the young protagonists, re-producing it.
One month after the opening of the exhibition Suite Rivolta, where this work was shown for the first time, the 15-M Movement took Madrid’s streets. This protests success seems to have been as ephemeral as the frame in a film, which is not to mean it can’t be efficiently retaken in the long term.
